With an estate of over 14,000 acres in the mountains of southwestern Virginia, Primland resort offers a wide variety of activities, amenities and services for sportsmen, families and businesses.  The 5-star resort offers golfing, hunting, fishing, horseback riding and the recently-opened 72,000 square foot Lodge at Primland - which houses luxurious guest suites, a spa, indoor pool, theater, ballroom, meeting rooms, and even an observatory.  Due to the size and the nature of the mountainous resort, amenities are spread over the site.  Limited signage at the entries made it difficult to find and the few basic street name signs the resort had were difficult to read.  Having very minimal directional signage added to the difficulty in navigating around the site.  Primland management concluded that they needed directional and traffic signage that was easy to use, reflected the five-star quality of the resort and allowed guests to comfortably find and use all the amenities available to them.  Working with the land planning firm of EDSA, who designed the program, SouthWood value-engineered and fabricated signage  that consisted of illuminated off-site directionals and entry monuments, traffic and street signs, with interior signage for the then soon-to-be-open Lodge.  To see more examples of how SouthWood has helped hundreds of Lodging facilities brand their property and navigate visitors to and around the site, visit our Hotel and Resorts Signage page.  Or, send us an email to set up a consultation with one of our experienced account representatives.
